Description
The Natural History Museum of Montenegro has been established in 1995, as a public institution. Main objective of the Museum is the research of the biodiversity of Montenegro and the presenting of it's values. Within the Museum, 12 collections of flora, fauna and fossils are established so far. Museum employs 13 curators that perform field research, material collecting, scientific analysis, keeping, documentation and publishing of the results. Museum contains taxidermy and conservation shop and a library. Scientific and research staff is presented by graduated biologists, among which 8 masters (mr, MSc.) and 2 doctors (PhD) of biological sciences. Museum is the publisher of the first electronic scientific and popular scientific periodical, "Natura Montenegrina", since 2001.
