University Institute of Positron Emission Tomography is health institution with state-of-the-art PET/CT equipment dedicated to better diagnosis and staging of cancer patients. A PET/CT scan can provide a vision to fight effectively against cancer. The Institute is designed and equipped according to highest international standards, with team of doctors and health workers trained in best medical centers in the world. The radiopharmaceuticals that are necessary for the PET/CT scanning are produced at the department for Radioisotope Production and Radiopharmacy at our Institute. This department is equipped with cyclotron, three production radiopharmacy laboratories and two laboratories for quality control. The production of radiopharmaceuticals is according to good manufacture practice (GMP). The Institute is actively involved in education and scientific research in the fields of nuclear medicine, medical physics, radiopharmacy, radiochemistry and radiology. The Institute is educational- scientific base for the Medical Faculty of the University “Ss Cyril and Methodius “of Skopje, and cooperates as well with the University “Goce Delchev” in Shtip. The Institute has active cooperation with Universities from abroad and is included in projects of the International Atomic Energy Agency. PET/CT scans for Macedonian patients can be scheduled by your doctor through the platform ” Мoj termin” . Considering that UIPET is the only institution of this kind in the region, the Institute accepts international patients.
