Darko Dimitrovski was born on 07/05/1981 in Skopje, Macedonia where he completed his primary and secondary education. In 1999 he enrolled at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Skopje on the Food Technology and Biotechnology Department and graduated in 2005 with an average grade of 9,6. In the same year, he began working in the company Vitalia-Nikola ltd as a referee in the Research and Development Department, and later in the Department for Quality Control. In 2006 he was employed at the Food Directorate - Ministry of Health in the Risk Management Department where he works until December 2007 when he was employed at Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy as a teaching assistant. In 2007, he enrolled Master studies at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Skopje. He defended the master thesis with the title: " Optothermic Window and Colorimetry - Direct Methods for Quantification of Carotenoids in Fruits and Vegetables " in 2010, thus gaining the title of Master of Technical Sciences. In 2011, he enrolled at the same faculty for preparation of a doctoral thesis titled " Examination of the probiotic properties of bacteria of the genus Lactobacillus with the application of an in vitro cell model and their application in food for special nutritional needs ". In 2015 successfully defended the thesis and obtained the title of Doctor of Technical Sciences. He is currently working as Associate Professor for conducting lectures on the subjects: Food Microbiology, Basic Processes in Biotechnology, Principals of Biochemical Engineering and Biological Basics of Raw Materials. Within his operating activities, Dr. Darko Dimitrovski is actively working on his professional development by participating in projects, publishing teaching materials, participating in congresses and publishing papers in scientific journals.
