PhD. Ilija Rumenov is born on 29.12.1982 in Skopje. Graduated at the Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” Skopje in 2006. He has finished his post-graduate studies in the field of International Law and International Politics (Private international law) at the Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” Skopje. He has written and successfully defended his post-graduate thesis “Hague convention on Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction from 1980 between regional and universal challenges” in 2011. He has defended his doctoral thesis “Recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments regarding family matters” at the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana, Republic of Slovenia. From 2004 till 2007 he was junior stuff member on the subject of Private International law. From 2007 he has been junior assistant and from 2011 assistant in the field of Private International law. From 2017 he is assistant professor. At the Faculty of Law “Iustinianus Primus” Skopje, he holds the following positions: - Secretary for the Institute for international law and international politics at the Law Faculty “Iustinianus primus”- Skopje Republic of Macedonia since 2007 - Secretary of the Postgraduate course in international law and international politics at the Law Faculty “Iustinianus primus”- Skopje Republic of Macedonia since 2012 -Secretary on the Commission for recognition of exams form other domestic and foreign Universities at the Law Faculty “Iustinianus primus”- Skopje Republic of Macedonia since 2007 He fluently speaks the English language.
