Biography
She was born in 1988 in Zagreb, Croatia. She graduated in 2012 from the Institute of Informatics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje, and in the same year she enrolled in master studies at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FCSE) in Skopje in the field of Intelligent Systems Engineering. She defended her master's thesis entitled "Bayesian Classification of Colorectal Cancer Gene Expression Probed with DNA Microarray Technologies deployed as SaaS in the Cloud" in 2013 and earned a master's degree in information sciences and computer engineering in the field of Intelligent systems engineering, module bioinformatics. She enrolled in doctoral studies in September 2014 and in 2019 she defended her doctoral dissertation entitled "Bioelectrical and Bioacoustical Signal Processing for Prediction of Medical Conditions", gaining a scientific degree - PhD in Natural Sciences and Mathematics in the field of Informatics. Since 2010 she has been engaged as a laboratory assistant, first at the Institute of Informatics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and shortly after at FCSE. For a short period of time, she worked as a teaching/research assistant at the University "Goce Delchev" in Stip. In December 2017, she started working at FCSE, first as an Assistant-doctorant, and since October 2019 as Assistant professor. During the time, she has been actively involved in several national and international projects. She won the best paper award for the research presented at the 25th DAAAD Symposium in Vienna, Austria, as well as the FESTO Award for Young Scientist. On several occasions, she has made scientific stays at the Jozef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where she has had the opportunity to work in the field of developing methods for biomedical signals processing. She also had short research stays at UGA in Grenoble, France and at the UCD in Dublin, Ireland. She is the author and co-author of more than 50 papers, published at conferences and in recognized international journals, among which is a research published in journal Information Fusion which belongs to quartile Q1 with Impact Factor of 13.669. In general, her interest is focused on the development of intelligent systems in various fields such as: processing of biomedical signals, bioinformatics, cloud computing, biosensors, natural language processing, and more recently in robotics and microprocessor systems as part of its teaching engagement.
