Mimoza Ristova, is a university professor, scholar, columnist, novelist, playwright, and human rights activist, born in Skopje, 1963, Republic of Macedonia.
She teaches undergraduate courses in Electronics, Electricity and Magnetism, and graduate courses in Photovoltaics, Medical Imaging and Forensic Science at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius, University in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia. Her professional interests are in the fields of Semiconductor Thin Films, Photovoltaics, Electrochemical cells for water splitting, a-Silicon, Electrochromic materials, Pixel detectors for ionizing radiation, Selective coatings for solar thermal collectors, Forensic Science, Radiation protection, etc.
She is the beneficiary of the NATO-NSF “ Science for Peace” post-doctoral grant and had served as a Visiting Scholar/Scientist at the Texas A&M University in 2000/01, Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Berkeley, California, in 2014, and a project associate at CERN in 2020, working in the development phase of the SEEIIST project (seeiist.eu).
She is an author/co-author of over 90 scientific publications and one USA patent for a water-splitting device. She also authored many physics textbooks, several novels, theatre plays and numerous daily and weekly journal columns.
