My experience as a physician at the PHI University Clinic of Pulmonology and Allergology for more than 30 years, specializing in Pulmonology and Allergology for over 25 years, has equipped me with the necessary expertise to work on treatment and prevention of the respiratory diseases. I have served as the Principal Investigator in numerous clinical trials in the field, and I have acquired extensive scientific research competencies through this work. Furthermore, as the Director of the University Clinic’s Asthma Center, I have developed important leadership and communication skills that will allow me to take a strong, leading role in this investigation. I have also been teaching at the university level for a number of years, which has prepared me to serve as an exceptional trainer in the fields of Pulmonology and Allergology. Although most of my work has been in the area of asthma, my role as a specialist of Pulmonology and Allergology will provide me with the broad expertisе.

Graduate Studies Research and Doctoral Dissertation
In my masters program, I pursued research with a focus on bronchial reactivity in patients with bronchial asthma. I then went on to write my doctoral dissertation on the role of bronchial reactivity markers in evaluation of asthma.
Clinical Trials in the field of Pulmonology and Allergology
More recently, I have served as the Principal Investigator in many clinical trials, most of which have been open-label, placebo-controlled trials focused on the efficacy and safety of various interventions for patients with moderate to severe, persistent asthma. I have also investigated therapeutic interventions for subjects with pulmonary emphysema due to alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency.
Research Support
