Prof. Dr. Ivica Gjurovski was born in 1984 in Skopje. He graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – Skopje in 2008 and earned his PhD at the same faculty in 2018, under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Dine Mitrov.
He was employed at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 as a researcher in the subject of Pathological Physiology. In 2019, he was elected to the academic title of Assistant Professor, and in 2024, he was promoted to the title of Associate Professor.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivica Gjurovski has attended numerous professional trainings, symposia, congresses, and workshops both domestically and abroad, as a participant and as an invited lecturer. He has gained part of his professional experience through visits to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Brno, Czech Republic, and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Budapest, Hungary.
He is a reviewer for the journal Macedonian Veterinary Review and a participant in national and international projects, including:
The IPA project “Capacity building of the veterinary service for implementation of EU Acquis”
The IAEA-funded training course on pathohistological, pathological, biochemical, and molecular assessment of pathological conditions and diseases in animals (2014–2015)
Application of the immunohistochemical method in the diagnosis of viral diseases in pets (2019–2021)
His areas of educational, professional, and scientific-research interest include: pathological morphology, pathohistological and immunohistochemical diagnostics.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivica Gjurovski has published a total of 28 scientific and professional papers, including works with an impact factor.
