Darko Spasevski is a professor and legal consultant. He has been a member of the Law Faculty Iustinianus Primus at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia, since 2008, focusing primarily on business law. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses on business law, bankruptcy law, and e-commerce law. In addition to his academic role, Professor Spasevski has extensive practical experience. He was involved in drafting the new Law on Companies (2023) and actively contributed to the drafting of the Macedonian Civil Code concerning trade agreements. He has served as a consultant and local legal expert for firms such as White & Case and WilmerHale on cases presented at various international forums. Professor Spasevski has contributed book chapters on consumer protection, published by Hart Publishing, and on Macedonian competition law, published by Springer. In 2023, he participated in the WIPO-WTO Colloquium for Teachers of Intellectual Property, a two-week training program organized by the World Trade Organization and the World Intellectual Property Organization. In February and March 2025, Professor Spasevski was a Weiser Professional Development Fellow at the Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia at the University of Michigan. Throughout 2025, he participated in several international conferences, including the Intellectual Property Researchers of Europe (IPRE) 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland, and the 4th International Forum of Law School Deans and Jurists: Communication and Cooperation among Global Legal Professionals in the Age of AI, organized by Renmin University in Beijing, China. In October 2025, Professor Spasevski also completed a research visit and delivered a guest lecture at the National Economic University in Hanoi, Vietnam.
