Computer claster Supermicro system Quad
Purpose of equipment
The computer system consists of 50 32-core servers (with total of 1600 processor cores) installed in server racks and connected by Gigabit Ethernet switches. For the most demanding simulations it is possible to upgrade to the InfiniBand communication. The computer system is suitable for a wide range of different simulations: quantum simulations, QM/MM, classical dynamics, protein folding, structure and reactivity problems, chemometric analysis, support to experimental spectroscopic techniques, diffusion problem, and fluid dynamics. Institute of Chemistry has all the necessary software.
