Purpose of equipment
EC-MS (Spectro Inlets) is used to detect gaseous and volatile species evolving from the surface of the working electrode during an electrochemical experiment, as controlled with a potentiostat (BioLogic). Species with m/z 1 to 200 can be detected. The working electrode can be any disk of standard size (5 mm diameter, 4 mm thickness, Pine), the system is designed for aqueous electrolytes.
