Equipment
Transmission electron microscope (Philips CM100)
TEM Philips CM 100 is used to observe samples on the ultrastructure level. Regarding biological samples two methods are used for sample preparation. The negative staining method is suitable for observing particles in a solution e. g. viruses, bacteria, macromolecules (proteins, nucleic acids, liposomes). A second method enables visualization of plant, animal and human tissues on the nanometre scale. TEM Philips CM 100 is used for analyses of structure and immunolocalization in different biological samples.
