Analysis of gases in the development of materials for the production of green electricity and for thermal insulation with associated equipment
We have established the following set of methods for the advanced characterisation of materials for producing sustainable energy sources and sustainable insulating materials. The systems for obtaining green hydrogen by photocatalytic or photoelectrochemical processes include a solar simulator (Xenon with AM 1.5G filter), a photocatalytic or photoelectrochemical cell connected to a gas chromatograph, which can be used for quantitative determination of evolved gaseous products. A gas chromatograph is also used to determine the composition of gases in foamed glass, while its density (in solid or powder form) is determined with a gas pycnometer.
