Research equipment for activation and sterilization of organic material
Purpose of equipment
The equipment allows rapid sterilisation of organic material by pre-activation. The equipment is suitable for the investigation of sterilisation kinetics in both liquid and gas (aerosol) phases by dosing peroxy-nitrous acid. The equipment is particularly suitable for investigating the kinetics of sterilisation of food and seeds which cannot be sterilised by conventional techniques, as the latter cause irreversible changes to the materials to be sterilised.
