Upgrade of the low-temperature Raman spectrometer

The spectrometer is equipped with 532-nm and 785-nm lasers and enables the measurement of Raman spectra with high spatial and spectral resolution. The sample is moved into the focus of the laser beam with a motorized xyz stage, which enables precise movements in all three dimensions and thus mapping of the sample, whereby the Raman spectrum is recorded at each point. In this way, it is possible to obtain information about the chemical composition and homogeneity of the sample. This spectrometer also includes a special cooling unit, which will enable cooling of the sample with the help of liquid nitrogen.
