Near-infrared spectroscop - NIRO 200
The NIRO 200 measures oxygenation and blood perfusion in different tissues, especially brain and skeletal muscles. Using the superficial emission and detection probes attached to the muscle of frontal part of the skull, it measures blood oxygenation in the blood vessels up to the 3 cm below the surface and it calculates the oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin and myoglobin levels. It can also be used to evaluate the volume changes of blood in the tissue, and is therefore used for the evaluation of the changes of blood flow in the muscle during exercise.
