Probe for measuring thermal conductivity and thermal resistance of moist soils and porous substrates (Varios™, Metergroup)
Purpose of equipment
The VARIOS system measures soil thermal conductivity as a function of soil water content using the instantaneous heat source method, which involves a brief, low-power heating phase. The system complies with the ASTM D5334 standard and enables complete soil thermal drying curves.
