Description
Firm SŽ Elektrode Jesenice, d.o.o. is owned by Slovenske železarne and is the only welding materials manufacturer in Slovenia. 188 employees monthly produce about 1000t of welding consumables. -Tradition Welding materials production has many years experience - since 1939. Up to 1952 there was an artisan's production Since 1953 there is an industrial production 1973- 1993 production under Oerlikon licence till 1998 production under names Železarna Jesenice and Fiprom 1998 foundation of SŽ Elektrode d.o.o. -Production and quality assurance Yearly production is about 12 000t of welding consumables. The production programme includes about 150 different products, therefrom: - 45% welding wires - 45% coated electrodes - 10% welding fluxes and flux cored wires Firm supplies with its products more than 200 customers from 10 countries. About 70% of production is exported. Sale shares are: - European Union 26% - CEFTA 24% - Ex Yugoslavia counties 20% - Slovenia 30% Elektrode Jesenice operates a quality assurance system, certified by Bureau Veritas Quality International to ISO 9001 in1997 and with TÜV 1153 certificate. Our production and products are controlled by different international insurance societies and supervisor institutions: TÜV , DB, GL, BV, ABS, LR, DNV, RS, CWB, RINA, PRS, UDT, SZU, CR, SŽ.
