SMM production systems Ltd

The company SMM Ltd. was founded in 1990 after several Years of successful cooperation between the joint-stockcompany Metalna (Slovenia) and company Schiess AG (Germany). We realized business and programe development independently. From suplying components for different customers we slowly went over to the field of engineering. We realize turn-key projects for production, that include mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and informatics. The development concept we follow is the principle of modular construction. The system consists of three levels: - adaption level (activities necesary for realization of tasks- projects with adaptation to the clients requirements), - connection level (information system, technology) - level of building modules (machining units, tool flow, flow of material, flow of media) The development concept is designed in such a way that it ensures constant adaptation to the requirements of the market. A developmental group SAM is operating in the frame of SMM Ltd., that is registrated at the Ministry of education, science and sport. There are ten high educated experts of mechanical engineerig, electrical engineering and informatics included in the development group. The SAM group is cooperating with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from Ljubljana and many other research and development organisations. All of the developmental projects are active in the real production processes. The SAM group is developing modules for rubber industry, industry of houshold equipment, vehicle industry, logistic ecuipment, manipulators, velding machines... All of the modules are completly automatisated. The system of quality control was built and verified according to ISO 9001 with TÜV CERT. It is described in the quality manual QM.SMM.
