Description
Liti d.o.o., which employs workers with disabilities, was founded in 1994 by Predilnica Litija. Indeed, its establishment was aimed at providing employment to disabled workers, because the basic activity of the founder did not provide sufficient positions which would be suitable for those with physical disabilities or impaired capacities. Liti generates 95% of its revenue through the implementation of certain activities on behalf of founder, Predilnica Litija. These activities are organised into four subdivisional sectors, namely: Administrative Services, Energetics, Fancy Yarn Production, and Services. The company has 154 workers, 63 of whom have disabilities. Ten employees have a full degree, seven have lower degrees of tertiary education.
Liti d.o.o. is specialised in the development of activities with a higher level of added value, and is introducing new technologies in the field of textiles, energetics and information technology. The company disposes of its own informatics department where software for production, sales, purchases and control support is under development. Liti is also engaged in the development of new forms of work organisation, and it operates human resources development projects for the employees of the Predilnica Litija as well as for its own personnel. With regard to the aforementioned projects, the firm has recently become involved in the project for the implementation of continuos improvements in accordance with the 20 keys method. Liti d.o.o. is also engaged in the development of new products on behalf of Predilnica Litija, mainly yarns and threads. Development is primarily oriented towards improving the working conditions for the disabled as well as promoting those areas of commerce in which the disabled can be employed.
