Description
Company DFG CONSULTING informacijski sistemi, d.o.o. was founded in 1996. The aim was to apply our knowledge and understanding of spatial data management (Geographic Information Systems) as well as of geodetic and photogrammetric methods for data acquisition, processing and visualisation to various professions (surveying, photogrammetry, cartography, environmental planning, ecology, archaelogy, architecture, electronics, mechanical and civil engineering, insurance... ) on Slovenian market.
Areas of our expertise include:
-implementation of geographic information systems which includes analysis, data acquisition, software development and maintance with emphasize on integration of document management and spatial datasets,
-development of technology for acquisition of massive amount of geocoded data,
-coordination and project management (projects on spatial data acquisition) on national level,
-software development for home use and for sale,
-development of software solutions to meet customer specific needs and expectations,
-scanning, rectification and geolocation of maps and plans,
-scanning different types of documentation (forms, archives... ) and subsequent document management system (DMS) deployment,
-digitalisation of scanned maps (cadastral maps, maps of municipal infrastrucure) and subsequent geographic information system deployment,
-digital ortophoto production,
-3D data acquisition from digital aerial photographs (digital terrain model, topographic data, data on buildings... ),
-photogrammetric data acquisition for the purpose of updating cadastre of traffic signalization,
-satellite image processing,
-carrying out unique projects in the field of archaelogy, protection of cultural heritage...
In Slovenia, we are the only one who performs unconventional photogrammetric data acqusition with so-called photo helicopter (radio controlled miniature helicopter capabble of taking aerial photographs), helium baloon and vehicle equipped with video camcoders, Global Positioning System receivers and other sensors. With the use of special equipment, such unconventional photogrammetric data acquisitions may take place underwater as well.
Several projects on data acquisition on national level were supported by our technology. We provided knowledge and necessary tools (based on rich experiences gained during our several years long engagement in software development) to assure the most effective project management possible.
To succeed, highly qualified experts in different areas are essential. In the first years of our company, experts from the field of geodesy dominated. In order to address all of the user needs, the team has been extended with experts in the fields of economics, communication, information technology and agronomy. During last seven years, number of employees increased for four times.
