Legend
Description
Metrel d.d. (Ltd), measuring and regulation equipment manufacturer was established as a private company in 1994, however as a production it operates since 1956. It has 240 employees, and the estimated turnover for this year is 8,000,000 EUR (82% in export).
Production output:
- Measuring Instruments 10.000 units,
- Wound Components 50.000 units,
- Power Supplies 600 units.
Investment in development (average): over 10% of the total income.
For many years it was known in the market only for its instruments and equipment, which where intended to be used in the laboratories in school and in industry.
Wound components (adjustable transformers, toroidal transformers, variable resistors), R-L-C decades, and power supplies are still an important part of its production.
Today Metrel is one of the leading European manufacturers of measuring instruments for measuring and testing of low voltage electrical installations (VDE 0100, BS 7671) and safety of electrical devices (EN 60204-1, VDE 0113, IEC 60439-1, IEC 60989). These instruments comply with the latest standards in force like EN 61557, VDE 0413, EN 61010-1, EN 50160, EN 50081-1, EN 50082-1 and other. For some instruments there are obtained also international approvals like at VDE, SEV, and other.
Its reference product in the market is a multifunction instrument, which can be found also under different other brand names than Metrel. Instruments of metrel are spread in the territories of Europe and different overseas countries, having a market share (for the multifunction instrument) of about 50% in Italy, and over 5% in Germany.
Customer commitment:
Sales and Marketing operate from its premises in Horjul, having a supporting network of independent distributors in Europe and in the rest of the world. Metrel provides to its distributors a complete service documentation with calibration procedures and the appropriate equipment for an efficient local after sales activity. Each single instrument is supplied with a production verification data (calibration protocol). A computerized order processing and product traceability optimizes sales operation.
Commitment to quality:
Metrel's quality assurance system is based on BS EN ISO 9001. It achieved and continues to maintain this approval through a continuous training of its staff, and in designing the instruments to be tested to the demanding top standards.
