Euro-Mediterranean University

EMUNI University is an international university network based in Slovenia. It represents one of the six projects of the Union for the Mediterranean endorsed under the joint declaration adopted in Paris on 13 July 2008. The mission of EMUNI University is primarily to: Enhance the quality of higher education through the implementation of study and research programmes; Become an international university that respects cultural diversity; Establish a university environment that fosters the connection of different nations and cultures within the academic sphere; Provide the administrative, operational, and material infrastructure necessary for the university's functioning. The goal of EMUNI University is to create specialized study programmes among Euro-Mediterranean universities. These programmes will cover topics and areas of relevance for the Euro-Mediterranean region. The study programmes or parts of them will be delivered both at EMUNI University and at other co-founding universities. One of the main activities of EMUNI University is also research, which is a key factor in the development, success, and quality of the university. The fundamental mission of the university is to contribute, through its higher education and research activities, to strengthening intercultural dialogue in the Euro-Mediterranean region and to advancing the priorities and objectives of the Barcelona Process, which is broadly integrated into the Union for the Mediterranean.
