CPZ-International was established in 1999 by two experts working in the field of educational policy, assessment and examinations. Dr Sergij Gabršček has set-up RIC, Slovenian National Examinations Centre, which was the first organisation administering external examinations in Slovenia, and was it’s Director General from 1993-1999. Metka Uršič has set-up Centre’s publicity department and pre-printing and printing services and was manager of that department till 1999. She was the iniciator of several other activities in the Centre and was introducing standards ISO 9000. CPZ-International, Centre for Knowledge Promotion, is a research and development organisation. It’s aim is to promote knowledge in different fields, building up groups of leading experts from different countries. Main field of interest is education and activities linked to it: analysis, development and advising on the education, assessment and certifications systems, quality assurance and quality control in education systems and processes. Center aim to introduce new, information technology supported systems and to apply modern analytical methodologies. Present work is focused on evaluation of education systems, developing assessment systems, preparing and administering of baseline studies, statistical analysis and preparation of expertises for introduction of changes into local or national education systems, both for general and professional/vocational education. Industry and bussines are becoming important partners of CPZ International in fields of mutual interest. CPZ International is building its reputation on the results already achieved by it’s founders in the National Examinations Centre which are well documented, and on the work that has already been done since than. Organisation does not only have the capacities and experiences for services offered but is also well equipped for those activities.
