Abstract
The aim of the research study is to draw attention to the role and significance of ethnic identity in the ethnically mixed territories in the entire Sloveneethnic space. By means of analayzing perceptions and stbadpoints of population of both nationalities in contact areas it attemps to point aut the potential neurlagic points as well as productive realtions between ethnic groups in contact. by analyzing implicit and ecplicit indices of national identity the study focuses on the role of structural factors, particulary factors of institutionalk support in this process.
