Abstract
All along the integration of Slovenia into European Union there are changes of formal and realistic possiblities for growing cooperation of Slovene national minorities living in Italy, Austria and Hungary with Slovenia. It is the same situation while talking about Italian and Hungarian minority living in Slovenia and their relations towards Italy and Hungary. In our research project we would like to evaluate teh actual and possible level of transborder cooperation, some problems connected with therole of national minority on both sides of border and finnaly the geopolitical position of Slovenia.The research will be focused on Slovene-Austrian border region.
