Abstract
The implementation of basic social values is the basis and at the same time an indicator of the quality of activity of a given civil society and its legal state. Professional activity is one of the largest part of human life. In professional activity, basic social values are included in the professional ethics and its implementation in the practice is for a given professional branch: 1. an indicator of social quality of this group of professions 2. one of basic prognostic indicators of success or crisis on the social field, for which this profession is crucial. The research searches for three kinds of basis that are crucial for shaping of codes of professional ethics and for their implementation in professional work: 1. Anthropological basis of professional ethics, which results from comprehension of a man. The research finds out that for the formation of a professional ethics, a wholistic view on a human being is necessary from the aspects of all its dimensions in an ecological wholeness of social and natural environment. 2. Psychological basis of professional ethics that arise from individual human being. The reasearch finds out that in present time, for professional formation of a human being, regular and permanent education and training is necessary, which is oriented especially towards human''s intellectual capabilities. These are crucial personal basis for ethical consciousness and behaviour, but not the only ones: Ethics results from the whole human personality with all its capabilities. Regular and permanent education and training for professioanl work includes very little or no space of professional ethics, and so modern man has no preparation even on intellectual level for ethical behaviour in the profession. In the past, a man was wholistically formed by the tradition with patterns of life and coexistence in the family, neighbourhood, larger family and working groups. Traditional patterns of work and coexistence became useless in the postindustrial society. 3. Social basis of professional ethics, that results from given social situations. The research finds out that for formation and implementation of professional ehtics in the postindustrial society, the following is crucial: - maturity of a man''s individual personal consciousness, which depends especially from the quality of human relationships and comunication in his own primary and secondary family and - maturity of a man''s social consciousness, that results especially from the quality of human relationships in the school institutions and other groups of reference, where a man is professionally trained, and from the quality of the professionality of organisation of his professional group in which he is included. The research pays particular attention to the social professions where prominent activity is work with people and for people.
