Abstract
The object of this research is to study the problem introduced by the presentation of the social reality in 20th century Italian, Spanish and Latin American prose through different narrative techniques and literary procedures. The interdisciplinary approach requires the application of appropriate methodologies used in sociology, narratology and the sciences of intellectual manifestations and their interrelations in history.
