Abstract
a) Study and systematic publication of Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Lombard, Gothic, Carolingian, Middle ages coin finds (single and grave finds as well as hoards) as the primary historical sources from the territory of Slovenia according to the international standards. b) Cooperation in the research project COINET (Network for Coin Finds and Hoards), financially supported by the EC. The cooperating institutions in the project are Kunsthistorisches Museum in Wien, Joanneum Research in Graz, Universita Padova, Magyar Nemzeti Muzeum in Budapest and Narodni muzej of Slovenia in Ljubljana. The aim of the project is to link the cooperating institutions and to enable the entry into the databases of numismatic heritage with the help of Internet. c) Further development of the computer program NUMIZ, which is successfully operating in Frankfurt, Wien, Graz, Budapest, Split and Zagreb. It is being reprogrammed for Windows 95. On the web-server of the National museum of Slovenia the database of the numismatic heritage is already partially accessible via Internet.
