Abstract
The proposed research is an investigation into a complex interplay of discursive mechanisms which determine the rapport between two discourse regimes, politics and philosophy. It will focus on the following issues: the impossibility of the Society, the destiny of the universal viewed from the postmodernist conception of the political, the alternative between an ethicised or ontologised politics; the possibility of the politics of emancipation in the age of the globalisation of democracy.
