Abstract
In the research project contemporary visual art and culture will be researched from the standpoints of philosophy (critical theory, poststructuralism, phenomenology). Research will focus on: the pictorial turn, cultural ocularcentrism and theoretical antiocularcentrism; cultural consequences of the new media; the role of the body in art; the concept of space in physics and art; rephilosophication of aesthetics; the comparison of contemporary visual art and culture in the cultures of the Second and the First World.
