Abstract
The project deals with the personality of Bishop Tomaz Hren with particular accent on the Diocesan councils and the official visitations of the Ljubljana Diocese Parishes. The research deals with the documents that show religious, cultural, social, as well as the economic life of the Slovene region in the first half of the 17th century. Simultanously, this research will enlight Hren''s work for the promotion of the Church music.
