Abstract
The significance of respecting human rights, democratic principles and
intercultural tolerance, plays the central role in Slovenia and EU. The
condition of functioning of these practical philosophical orientations is
development of the theoretical thought of practical
philosophy.
In Slovenia, the lack of this kind of basic researches in humanistic sciences is
noticeable, the state of research on this subject staying far behind the state of
research in social sciences. This project intends to put emphasis on the basic
points of practical philosophy and contribute important insights about this
subject, which will, without any doubt - contribute to affirmations of
democratic principles and the European culture of law.
