Abstract
The incidence of invasive cervical cancer (CC) in Slovenian female population is increasing. We presume that human papilloma virus (HPV) infections are directly assotiated with CC origin. The aim of the study is to establish the presence, type and amount of certain oncogenic HPV in cervical smears of patients with in situ CC before conisation, as well as 6 and 12 months after it. The results of our study provide answer to the question: Are the HPV types after conisation persist, disappear or reappear new ones?
