Abstract
Mechanical complications due to tearing of the heart muscle represent a major cause of death in patients with myocardial infarction. The aim of our study is to assess incidence, pathogenesis, risk factors and prognostic factors of mechanical complications of myocardial infarction and to suggest prevention in our population of patients. The results of the study will serve to improve survival of patients with acute myocardial infarction.
