Abstract
During the three years of implementation, the LifeADA project accomplished all objectives related to modernization and harmonization of higher education by development of Lifelong learning (LL) system for sustainable agriculture in non-EU Alps-Danube-Adriatic region countries and managed to enhance networking between among all partners. All HEIs involved in the project identified potentials for LL for sustainable agriculture as well as the needs for LL activities at national level of partner countries. Based on the outcomes, partners developed Regional guidelines for LL in sustainable agriculture which was a common platform for preparation of the National strategies as well as creation of pilot activities. Regional guidelines were translated to national languages and published. National strategies were prepared by each HEI, translated, published and delivered to all relevant national authorities, agencies and institutes. The skills of teachers for LL were defined among partners. Three training for teachers and training for LL experts and officers were organized and facilitated by EU partners. Altogether 88 teachers and LL experts/officers were trained in new teaching methodologies. Each Partner country and Croatia designed and developed new programmes, curricula based on identified needs. New curricula were reviewed by the members of Advisory board. Pilot activities on LL were organized in the form of summer schools at eight HEI. Altogether 84 students participated in mobility. At the end of the summer schools students evaluated the programme and suggested possible improvements over a student questioners prepared by the Evaluation board. Project LifeADA was promoted regularly trough web page where all outcomes and results were published, trough Facebook profile and trough project assembly. Project visibility was ensued as well by distribution of Leaflets and display of project banners. Partner institutions and Croatia also organized Career guidance panels where students had the chance to discus with representatives from private companies and public officials operating mostly in the agricultural sector and participate in numerous workshops or presentations. At the end of the project, partners summarized part of the most relevant achievements regarding the trainings and summer schools in the TEMPUS book "Harmonization of LL in ADA Region". The book was published in 200 copies and is available online. Project coordinator was in charge for financial and administrative management of the project with assistance of all partners who were equal in decision making processes. All Partner countries managed to purchase equipment necessary for implementation of project achievements in future.
