Abstract
The project "From Vocational Training to Success" connected three European countries Croatia, Slovenia and the Netherlands in the field of VET within the filed of entrepreneurship in tourism. Partners from labour market, public and educational sector met eight times through partners meetings but also conducted some of their own activities in their countries. Participants of the partners meetings exchanged experience about each country VET educational system in the field of tourism but also in general, researched different study materials, visited local entrepreneurs and schools connected to hospitality and tourism industry to understand even better the needs addressed in the project, had discussion on every partners meeting about good and bad practice examples. Experiences and knowledge gained through this project helped all participants to improve their own personal and professional competences and knowledge about the field of VET educational system in tourism. After exchanged materials, good and bad practice examples the group of participants from all three countries decided on what topics should they address in the process of creating the new modules for training. During this project partners discussed and designed a methodology to create modules based on which they then created the modules for training future young entrepreneurs. This methodology is also one of the results of this project.As the final deliverables of the VOTTS project, here are the 10 modules for training in entrepreneurship:1. Storytelling 2. Business models3. Marketing, communication, networking4. Verbal and non-verbal communication5. IT trends in tourism6. Social media for young tourism entrepreneurs 7. A practical approach to organising an event8. Sociology of tourism9. Self-analysis and elevator pitch for young tourism entrepreneurs 10. Coaching instead of teachingThese modules are now available on partners web pages, DVD and as a printed edition (the VOTTS book).
