Abstract
The project consists of A. an ethical meta-analysis of published reports on lung cancer; and B. a prospective clinical trial. The two parts of the project are linked on scientific and on ethical levels. This should assure up-to-date treatment, protect poor-prognosis patients particularly vulnerable to ethically unacceptable procedures, and test the practical applicability of ethical recommendations.
