Abstract
Applications in medicine and nuclear technology, such as tissue irradiation, neutron fluence in reactor pressure vessel embrittlement studies etc., require an accurate knowledge of prediction capabilities and error estimates in the calculations. The subject of research is the validation of nuclear data, which appear in the calculations, verification of the calculational methods through the use of different computer codes and uncertainty estimates in the calculated quantities using information on the uncertainties and correlations in the basic nuclear data.
