Abstract
The key reason for the project is to increase awareness and knowledge about European integration processes among pupils and teachers of primary and secondary schools, students of higher education institutions and general public in Slovenia with special emphasis on promoting opportunities stemming from entrepreneurial competences, initiative and creativity, needed to improve competitiveness, employability and the growth of an entrepreneurial spirit, reinforce social cohesion, active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, gender equality and personal fulfillment, but also to promote the quality, attractiveness and accessibility of lifelong learning. The expected outputs of the project will be at least 400 participating pupils, students and general public, 9 non-local contributers from 6 EU and 2 other non-EU countries, 10 professors or lecturers from Slovenia. The output will be also a large number of disseminated leaflets, posters, published e-book with relevant topics related to EU, entrepreneurship, initiative and creativity, and website which will be available to all the participants, stakeholders and general public in Slovenia and Europe-wide. The expected impacts of the project are the following: - improved knowledge of European Union, European institutions and the processes of European integration among target groups of the project and among general public; - enhanced entrepreneurial values, initiative taking, innovation and creativity in educational environment and society as a whole regarding the EU context; - improved relationships and transfer of knowledge about teaching methods and topics related to European integration processes and entrepreneurial spirit between domestic and foreign higher education sectors on one side and institutions, pupils and teachers from primary and secondary schools on the other.
