Abstract
This project explores the interplay between two areas of mathematics and computer science: algebraic combinatorics (distance-regular graphs, coding theory, association schemes), and cryptography (public cryptosystems related to elliptic curves). Common denumerator of these two areas are not just applied and discrete mathematics, finite fields and groups, but also a general ability of algebra and geometry to handle their problems. Studies of association schemes as well as elliptic curve cryptosystems are the ultimate cause of progress in these two areas and they are our final goal.
