Abstract
The member of people aged 65 and over has been increasing for the last couple of years. By the year 2000 it is expected that 15% of people of the entire population will be over 65 years old. As well, the number of hospitalized people of this age group will be increasing. WHO imposes and warns the global health system not be unprepared for the forthcomong problem. Research should be primarily focused on elderly people and their nursing demands. Holistic approach of a person as a whole unit will provide the basis for the development of conceptual frame of research. The essential goal of nursing is to provide care for people founded on target organised problem solving based on scientific method of the health care process. A medical team includes various medical experts with specific professional knowledge and defined tasks and should contribute to the data gathering and professional assesment of individual treatment of elderly people during hospiltalization and after they have been released from it.
