Abstract
The purpose of the project is to investigate the quality of fresh-water fishes in Slovenia. The presence of environmental pollutants such as metals, pesticides and polychlorinated biphenyls will be examined in samples of fishes from different rivers and fish-farms. At the known contaminated areas the study of the present situation will be examined and results will be compared with the ones from the past. Residues of veterinary drugs in farm-fish samples will be analysed. The possibility of cross contamination with the drug from one fish-farm to another through the water will be tested.
