Abstract
In this study we are going to find out the localization of some endangered and autochtonous weed and grassland species, map it out, collect seed and plant samples for the herbarium and ex situ germplasm collection. Seed samples are going to be prepared for a long-term storage and data catalogued. Different species and accessions are going to be studied using morphological traits, biochemical and molecular markers. Biological potential is going to be examined and seeds of some species multiplied. Using an old wheat cultivar Marinka as an example, we are going to study genetic changes in a population during 30 years of seed production. We will also try to determine and restore the original genotype.
