Abstract
The main object of our research is to study the suitability of different production types and hybrids of poultry in different housing systems with the emphasis on welfare and ecology standards, and on meat quality. In cattle production we are interested in the crossbreeding of animals: Charolais and Piemonteze with Holstainfriesian breed, as well as fattening of Brown and Holstainfriesian calves to different body weight in different technologies. In small ruminants we wish to study composition meat, fat and colagen with connection with characteristic the meat products. We wish to study piglet production in farrowing pen with closed litter in view of the economy, animal behaviour, and welfare of sows and piglets.
