Abstract
Following the NPP Krško SG replacement, uprating for approximately six percent in thermal power is planned. This means, having in mind that fuel type will be changed also (debris filter bottom nozzles, ZIRLO cladding and annular IFBA), new evaluation of reactor safety parameters will be required and changes will have to be made to core design software package. NPP Krško spent fuel pool reracking (two - zone concept with integral neutron absorbers, burnup credit) is also planned. To qualify this reracking project, extensive Monte Carlo criticality safety calculations will be required. Since Slovenian Nuclear Safety Authority does not employ personnel qualified in the abovementioned areas and does not possess measuring equipment and related software, it is strongly recommendable that the necessary analyses and calculations are performed by the team (in the role of the technical support organisation) proposing this project.
