Abstract
Ultrasound is successfully used in the treatment of wounds, post-traumatic disorders, circulatory disorders, affections of the skin and the peripheral nervous system. In physiotherapy are used the ultrasound frequencies from 1 to 3 MHz and intensity to 3 W/cm2. This article handles with general problems at construction ultrasound transducer. The main parameters are dealt with the general influences, activated on the transport electric power from amplifier to transducer and ahead mechanic power to load. The biological effects of week ultrasound rays are also the object of the research program submitted. The biological effects of our interest are induced in the experimental object by the action of non-ionising radiation. So there are two main problems: detection and measurement of biological effects and experimental field generation. A great variety of methods for the measurement of ultrasonic power, energy or intensity have been studied. Since it is impossible to adequately perform the measurements without considering the required specifications and standards, connections to IEC standards have been also overlooked.
