Abstract
Tool manufacture by machining is very expensive. A possibility of tool manufacture by welding individual segments will be investigated. Thus a basic form of a tool working surface would be obtained and machining could be considerably shorter. A system of bricks and laminated structures would be used. On the basis of results obtained optimum welding conditions will be determined, new tools for the particular client manufactured, and not usable tools for the same client repaired and tested in practice.
