Creation of a Cross-Disciplinary Doctoral Programme in Contemporary Russian and Chinese Economic Law in a Global Economy

Abstract
Four European universities in cooperation with Russian & Chinese partners aim to create cross-disciplinary knowledge of Russian & Chinese economic law through fostered interchange & cooperation. The purpose of the project is to develop innovative pedagogy & practices for the delivery of the integrated doctoral programme increasing quality & attractiveness of the European education. Specific project results are:-Unification of a pedagogical & administrative processes among the partners for the organization of a joint doctoral programme.-Development of a common admission, assessment & certification process.-Creation of the study programme structure & modules to support the programme.-Developed research cooperation between the academic partnership & businesses.-Established student & scholar mobility structures.-Management & quality assurance as administrative criteria for project success.-Promotion of the Russian and Chinese economic law as a study & research subject.-Established wider network including third country partners for joint cooperation.The Cross-Disciplinary Doctoral Programme in Contemporary Russian & Chinese Economic Law in a Global Economy will prepare European level legal experts competent in three different legal cultures. The programme will comprise core and specialization studies in Chinese & Russian economic law (each 30 ECTS) & dissertation planning & research specific seminars (30ECTS). A bridging syllabus will be offered for students coming from backgrounds of Economic and/or International Business.Implementation of the doctoral programme will assure impact of the project after its implementation. The resulting social capital established during project implementation in the form of professional & social ties, mutual understanding & trust are important in view of academic cooperation and research collaboration later on. Graduates of the programme will gain a unique set of skills recognized within the world of business.
