Abstract
Within the framework of the project we propose: to construct a new plasma source; to investigate, experimentally and by computer simulation, certain plasma processes in pulsed ion implantation; to develop new methods for the evaluation of ion tracks in polymers and a new device for enviromental radiation detection; to study some microstructural phenomena in metals; to investigate structural changes in semiconductors irradiated by heavy ions; to study the properties of the metal/semiconductor contacts with a special emphasize for the development of the detectors for alpha particles and UV radiation; to perform a number of field measurements of radon concentration and neutron flux in the surrroundings of radioactive waste repositories.
